A Warm Welcome
Each overnight stay begins with a complimentary offering of wine and a unique grazing board presented upon arrival.
Guests also have 24/7 access to the self-service coffee bar and snack pantry — offering both Keurig & Nespresso machines, a microwave and selection of sweet & savory nibbles.
Please note: although it has been one of our most beloved offerings, the optional in-house dinner service has been put on pause.
A taste of the good life
After an indulgent breakfast, enjoy leisurely pastimes to help further relax the mind and revitalize the spirit. A stroll to the river. A book by the fire. There's something to be said about slowing down.
Spend time with Mother Nature, bird watching during the day or stargazing at night. Play a game of bocce on one of the oyster shell courts. Or simply explore the home and its collection of artwork, artifacts and curiosities.
We invite you to come and delight in the good life out here away from it all.
Meet the Innkeeper
Eagles Watch is lovingly owned and operated by Jennifer Ruffin, a proud William & Mary alumna, wife and new mom. With a deep appreciation for the property’s historic significance — and passion for art, cooking and entertaining — her thoughtful, hands-on approach to hosting shapes every stay.
“I try to treat every guest the way I’d like to be treated,” she says — with emphasis on treat. From a warm welcome of wine and cheese to skillfully prepared breakfasts, gracious furnishings and interesting antiques, each detail reflects a hosting style that is both personal and time-honored.
